We've been at Camp 427 for quite a while now. Most days it's just me and a couple of others behind the counter. People come in with all sorts of phone problems. Some have cracked screens from dropping them on the pavement outside, and others just need a new charger because their old one finally quit. We keep a lot of different cables and cases in the glass bins. It gets pretty busy in the afternoons when the sun is high and folks are out running errands around here. Sometimes the shop feels a bit small when three or four people are waiting at once, but we manage. We do a lot of screen guards too. It's funny how many people still struggle to put those on without getting bubbles under the plastic. I usually handle the repairs myself if it’s something simple like a battery swap. If it's more complicated, it might take a day or two. The street outside is always noisy, but you get used to it after a few years. We try to keep things straightforward. If a phone is too old to fix, I'll just say so. No point in wasting someone’s money on a lost cause. We have some used phones too, mostly stuff people traded in when they got something newer. They aren't fancy, but they work for someone who just needs a basic device for calls. It’s just us here working every day from morning until late evening.
