Aradhana Electrical & Repairing is tucked away in the Nagpur Chawl area of Hadapsar. It’s a busy, crowded neighborhood where everyone is always on the move. My shop is filled with the smell of solder and old wires. I’ve been fixing fans, mixers, and irons for a long time now. The space is small, and there are tools scattered all over my workbench. It looks messy to an outsider, but I know exactly where everything is. People bring in things that stopped working years ago, hoping I can bring them back to life. Sometimes I can, sometimes they are too far gone to save. I don't charge much because I know how hard people work for their money around here. Hadapsar is a tough area with a lot of dust and heat, so electrical items tend to break down often. I usually work with the door open to let some air in. Neighbors pass by and wave while I work. I don't have fancy uniforms or a printed catalog. People just bring their broken stuff, I take a look, and tell them when to come back. Often, I’m working late into the night under a single lamp to finish a repair for someone who needs it. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what I know how to do. I’ve lived in this chawl for years, so this shop is my life.
