Our shop is sitting at 1157 Budhwar Peth, right next to the Old Kaware Coldring in Tulsi Baug. If you know Pune, you know how busy and crowded this area gets every single day. We sell a little bit of everything here, from school pens and notebooks to small things for the kitchen. The building we are in is quite old and the shop itself is a bit cramped, but we manage to fit a lot in. Every morning starts with us moving things around and checking what we need to restock. It gets very noisy outside with all the shoppers and vendors shouting. We have been in this spot for a long time now. It feels like these walls have seen the whole neighborhood change over the decades. We do not have any fancy websites or social media pages. People just know we are here and they walk in. Some customers stay for a long chat while they look for a specific button or a thread. We have plastic bins stacked up high to make use of every inch of space. It can be a bit of a maze if you are new. You might have to ask me where something is because I keep moving things to make more room. My brother and I take turns sitting at the counter. It is a simple life and we like it. We close up when the market finally goes quiet at night. We are just one small part of Tulsi Baug.
