Annapurna General Stores

Being located near Pune Station means things never really stop. Our shop is on Sasoon Road, specifically Shop Number 5 on Station Road. It is a very crowded part of Pune, and we get all sorts of people walking in. Some are travelers looking for a quick snack or a bottle of water before they catch their train. Others are locals who have lived in this area for decades. The noise of the buses and the station announcements is just background music to us now. We try to keep a variety of general items because you never know what someone might ask for. The space is small, so we have to be very careful about how we stack the boxes. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time parking on the busy road, which makes unloading a bit of a headache. I have been working here for quite a while, and I have seen the area change a lot. But the shop stays mostly the same. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just see the sign and walk in. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us occupied. My nephew helps out on the weekends when the rush is even bigger. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next customer to come through.
