Amol General Stores

Amol General Stores is located right near the MSEB office in Dattawadi. It’s easy to find us if you are heading that way for your electric bills. We have been here for a good amount of time now. The shop is small but we fit a lot of things inside. Every morning starts with unpacking crates and making sure everything is in its place. It gets a bit chaotic when the office workers come out for their breaks. We sell all kinds of daily items that people in Dattawadi need for their homes. I usually handle the counter myself, but sometimes my brother steps in to help. The neighborhood is quiet except for the office traffic. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the name above the door. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for years. They know where to find the tea powder or the snacks without even asking me. The shelves are made of old wood and they creak a bit. Sometimes I forget to order something and the shelf stays empty for a day or two. It happens. We aren't trying to be the biggest store around, just a place that's convenient. If you are passing by the MSEB building, you will see us there. It’s a plain shop for plain people. We like it that way. No stress, just selling things to neighbors and people passing through on their way to work.
