Amit Steels

Up in Katraj, near Gokul Nagar, we’ve got our setup at Survey Number 20/3/2. Amit Steels isn’t a massive factory, but we keep busy enough with the local demand. The area has grown a lot lately, and there’s always some construction happening nearby which keeps us moving. We spend our time cutting steel, moving bars around, and keeping track of what’s in stock. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon, so we try to do the heaviest lifting in the cooler hours of the morning. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t have a lobby with air conditioning or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find us out back with the steel or sitting at a wooden desk checking the ledger. Katraj is a good place to be, even if the roads get a bit congested during peak hours. We’ve been here long enough that most of the neighbors know us by name. It’s honest work, dealing with metal all day. Sometimes the machines act up or a delivery is late, and we just have to deal with it as it comes. We aren’t trying to change the world, we just want to make sure the steel gets to the site on time. People around Gokul Nagar know where to find us when they need materials for a gate or a roof frame. It is just how we make a living every day.
