Amit Lalit Shah

My name is Amit Lalit Shah and you can find my business at 15 Market Yard in the Bombay Timber Market. We are located in the Kushal Society area, right behind Hyde Park. If you come by, you’ll see that the whole place is filled with stacks of wood and the sound of saws. It’s a very busy and dusty environment, but that’s the nature of the timber trade. I’ve been running this yard for quite a while now. We don't have a fancy office or a showroom with air conditioning. It’s mostly just a warehouse space where we store different types of timber for construction and furniture making. My day is spent checking the quality of the wood and talking to contractors who need supplies. It’s a lot of physical work and my clothes are usually covered in sawdust by the end of the day. I don't use any fancy marketing or social media to get customers. People in the market know who I am and they know where to find me. We handle the orders as they come in and try to get them delivered without any delays. It’s not always easy, especially when the weather is bad and we have to protect the wood from the rain. It’s a straightforward business with no hidden frills. I just want to provide good materials to the people who need them and keep the yard running smoothly every day.
