Ameya Engrawers

Ameya Engrawers is a small shop located at Mohamad Wadi 35. We spend our days working on different materials like metal, plastic, and wood. Engraving is one of those things that requires a steady hand and a bit of patience. We have a few machines in the back that handle the heavy work, but there’s still a lot of manual checking involved. People come to us when they need a nameplate for their new house or maybe a small plaque for an award. It’s a quiet kind of business for the most part. We don't have a big storefront with lots of displays. Usually, it's just a sample book and a few finished pieces sitting on the desk so people can see what we do. Mohamad Wadi has grown a lot since we first set up here. There are more houses and shops now, which keeps us pretty busy. We aren't corporate people; we are just makers who enjoy the process of marking things permanently. Sometimes a customer brings in something unusual they want engraved, and we have to figure out if our tools can handle it. We like those kinds of challenges. It breaks up the day and makes the work interesting for us. We just stay here at number 35, doing our thing one plate at a time and making sure the letters are straight. It's been like that for years and we're used to the routine of the neighborhood.
