We’re out in Kalamboli, specifically at 854-G in the WHC Complex. If you know this area, you know it’s basically just rows and rows of warehouses and heavy trucks. We deal with steel, so there’s always a lot of heavy lifting going on. The complex is huge and it’s easy to get lost if you don’t know the numbers. Our section is usually busy with loading and unloading. We have a small office tucked into the corner of the warehouse where we handle the documents. It gets pretty hot under the tin roof in the summer, but we’ve got a few fans going. We aren’t really a retail shop; it’s more about the bulk stuff. We spend our days checking inventory and making sure the cranes are working right. The staff here has been around for years, so we all know the routine. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of dust and the smell of metal everywhere. We just focus on getting the trucks out on time. Sometimes there are delays at the main gate, but we try to manage. We don’t bother with fancy signs or anything. People who need steel know where to find us. It’s a practical environment for a practical business. We just keep moving the steel day in and day out. The yard outside is usually full of trailers waiting for their turn, so things can get a bit hectic around noon.
