Alpha Mobile

We've been here on Mohammed Ali Road in Shirur for a good while now. It gets pretty busy outside with all the traffic and people walking by every day. We mostly handle phone repairs and selling small things like chargers, screen guards, or plastic covers. Sometimes someone comes in with a screen that's completely shattered and we have to tell them it might take a day to get the right part from the city. It's just two of us working here most days. We started out small and stayed that way because it's easier to manage the work ourselves. People from the neighborhood know where we are, right near the main stretch of the road. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything polished, just some simple glass counters and our tools in the back. If a phone is acting up or the battery won't hold a charge anymore, people just drop it off on their way to the market. We keep track of everything in a handwritten notebook because it's just simpler that way. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait for it to come back while chatting with the neighbors. Dealing with mobile technology is weird because it changes so fast, but the basic problems like dropped phones or water damage stay the same. We try to be fair about what things cost without overcharging. Usually, we're here from early morning until late evening. It's a lot of sitting around waiting for customers sometimes, then three people show up at once.
