Alok Traders

You can find Alok Traders at Shop No.A 14 in the Market Yard. It’s a very busy place to work because the market is always moving. We get here before the sun is up most days to start unloading the goods that arrive. The shop is filled with sacks and crates, and there isn't much room to walk around once a shipment comes in. We’ve been in this same spot for years and we know all the other traders nearby. It’s a loud environment with people shouting prices and trucks reversing all the time. The floor is made of concrete and it’s usually covered in a bit of dirt from the market. We don't have a website or any fancy brochures. Most of our business is done face-to-face or over a quick phone call. We sit at an old wooden desk to do our accounts and track what’s going out. In the summer, the heat under the roof can be quite something, but we just keep the fans going. We don't use any marketing tricks or big promises. We just sell our stock and try to keep things moving. It’s a lot of physical work and long hours on our feet. Sometimes we grab a tea from the stall around the corner when things get a bit slow. It's a simple way to make a living, and it keeps us busy from morning until night every day.
