Akshay Caterer

Akshay Caterer is based out of Flat No 4 Tirupati Apts B Wing on Satara Road. Being near Powar Hospital means there is always a lot of activity around Balaji Nagar. It’s not your typical storefront since we are tucked away in the apartment building. We have to be careful about not making too much noise for the other residents but they are mostly used to us by now. The kitchen space is tight and we have to stay organized or everything would be a mess. Satara Road is always humming with cars and buses and that noise filters in through our windows all day long. We started small and stayed that way because it's easier to handle things ourselves. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area. If you come by you'll likely find us busy with prep work or cleaning up after a long shift. We spend a lot of time on our feet and the floors can get a bit slippery if we aren't careful. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Sunday. Balaji Nagar has a good feel to it and we like being in this part of town. Sometimes we run out of space for all our supplies but we find corners to tuck things away. It’s a bit cramped but it feels like home to us after all these years of working in this same apartment wing.
