Akash Steel Traders

Our place is at Plot No. 30 on Road No. 4. We’re in Sector 1/5 in New Panvel. It’s a quieter part of the area compared to the main market, which suits us just fine. Akash Steel Traders is basically a big yard with a small office on the side. We spend most of our time outside moving things around. The road here is wide enough for the big trucks to turn, which is why we picked this spot. We see a lot of dust because of the nearby construction, so we’re always wiping down the desks. The office has a corrugated roof, so when it rains, you can barely hear yourself think. We have a small fridge for cold water and a calendar that’s a few months out of date. We don't have a fancy sign or anything, just the name painted on the gate. People know us for being around and having the stock ready when they show up. It’s a practical business. We don't use much technology besides the basics to keep track of what’s coming in and going out. Most of our days are spent checking the quality of the steel and talking to the loaders. It’s a steady life here in Panvel. We’ve seen the sector grow over the years, and we’ve just stayed here doing our thing day after day, keeping the yard open until late to make sure everything is sorted.
