Akalpit

Our little spot is at 102 Bhawani Peth, right in the Gulmohar building. Akalpit isn't a very big operation, just a few of us working out of this one room. Bhawani Peth is always crowded with trucks and people moving goods, so it can be a bit of a struggle just to get to the front door in the morning. Once you get inside the building, it’s a bit quieter. We have a few desks and some shelves piled high with stuff we’ve collected over the months. The lighting in the hallway is a bit dim, but our office has a big window that looks out over the street. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just typing away at the computers. There isn't much to look at on the walls, maybe just a calendar and some notes taped up so we don't forget things. We drink a lot of coffee from the machine in the corner. Sometimes the neighbors come in to borrow a stapler or just to complain about the parking outside. It’s a practical place for us. We don't have fancy leather chairs or a receptionist. If someone knocks, one of us just gets up and opens the door. It’s just how we do things here in Gulmohar. We try to stay organized but usually, there’s a stack of mail somewhere that needs sorting. It’s just a normal workday for us.
