Akaeshan Steel

Akaeshan Steel is located on Old Hanuman Lane in Kothrud, specifically at number 179. It is a local place where we handle steel and related materials. Working with metal is hard work, and the shop is usually covered in a bit of dust and scrap, but that’s the reality of the trade. We have been in Kothrud for some time now and most people in the lane know where we are. Dealing with steel means we see a lot of different people, from builders to guys just needing a small piece of metal for a home fix. We don't have a big marketing department or a website that looks like a movie. It's just a straightforward shop. Sometimes the supply of steel is easy to get and other times it’s a struggle with the prices going up and down, but we just keep at it. The space isn't huge, so we have to stay organized or we'd never find anything. If you come by, you’ll see us moving heavy stacks around or cutting things to size. It’s noisy and hot in the summer, but we like being part of the Kothrud community. We try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door. It’s not a complicated business model, just selling steel and making sure the measurements are right so nobody wastes their money. That’s pretty much us in a nutshell. It's not fancy, just some walls and a roof that keeps the rain off the inventory.
