Agawane Traders

Agawane Traders is based in Rui Upadhyay Nagar, which is a village in the Baramati area. We are right in the heart of the tehsil. It’s a quiet place for the most part, though things pick up during the harvest season. We deal with various goods that farmers and local shops need. Our space is just a large shed with a small office partitioned off in the corner. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading trucks. My brother and I run the place ourselves. We don't have any staff in uniforms or anything like that. We just wear our regular clothes and get our hands dirty. The road outside can get very dusty, so we are always dusting off the crates and sacks. We don't have a big computer setup. We keep all our records in physical ledgers. It’s the way our father did it, and it works for us. Sometimes the neighbors come by for a cup of tea and we sit on the wooden benches outside. We don't spend money on advertising. People in the district know where we are. If you are coming from the main town, just ask anyone for the Agawane place. We work long hours when the trucks are coming in, but we don't mind. It’s a good feeling to see the goods moving out to the different villages. We are just simple people doing a simple job and trying to stay busy.
