Agarwal General Store

If you walk down S V Road near Ambawadi, you will probably see us. Agarwal General Store has been sitting here in Shukrawar Peth for a good while. The shop is small and packed from the floor to the ceiling with all kinds of stuff people need. We have pulses, soaps, some snacks, and those little household things that always seem to run out at the wrong time. It is usually just one or two of us behind the counter. The morning is the busiest when everyone is heading out to work or getting milk. We know most of the people who come in by their names because they live just around the corner at number 533 or nearby. Sometimes the shelves look a bit crowded and it takes a minute to find the exact brand of tea someone wants, but we usually know where everything is hidden. It is a bit dusty sometimes because of the traffic on the main road outside, but we try to keep it clean. We don't have fancy lights or a big sign. It is just a regular store where you can grab what you need and have a quick chat. Sometimes kids come in for a single piece of chocolate or a pencil for school. It is nothing special, just a neighborhood shop trying to stay stocked up. We spend a lot of time checking the inventory and talking to the delivery guys who stop by in their small vans.
