Our small shop is located right in Warje Malwadi at 135/381. Most people know the area because we are very close to the Ashok Theater. You can usually hear the music or the crowds from the cinema when a big movie is playing. It’s a small space and we have shelves crammed with all sorts of things like old circuit boards, wires, and soldering tools. There’s a faint smell of burnt plastic and solder that never really goes away. We’ve been sitting behind this counter for years now. People from around the neighborhood bring in their broken remotes or radios that have stopped working. Sometimes we can fix them while they wait, but other times the parts are hard to find. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. It’s just a simple place where we do our work. The ceiling fan has a bit of a wobble and makes a clicking sound all day long. We keep a ledger to write down what needs to be done. It’s mostly just one or two of us working here. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just rely on the people who live nearby and know we are here. In the evenings, the street gets really crowded with people going to the theater. We usually stay open until the last show starts and then we head home ourselves.
