Our spot is in Salisbury Park in Pune, right opposite the Gul Poonawala building. The address is 192/11 Mira Society. A-Cube Uniek Restaurants Llp is a small operation that we started because we liked the idea of having a place in this neighborhood. Salisbury Park is a bit quieter than other parts of Pune, which we like. The "Uniek" part of the name is just a different way of spelling unique, though we aren't trying to be overly experimental. We just wanted a restaurant that felt like a place we’d want to hang out in ourselves. The space isn't huge, so things can get a bit tight during the lunch rush. We do most of the work ourselves, from managing the floor to checking the stock in the back. There isn't a big corporate office behind us. It’s just the people you see when you walk in. Sometimes the plumbing gives us trouble or a delivery of napkins doesn't show up on time. We just deal with it. We don't have a big marketing budget or a social media manager. We just rely on people in Mira Society and the nearby areas coming in for a meal. It’s a simple business. We spend a lot of time cleaning and making sure everything is ready for the next day. It’s not always easy, but it is our own thing and we enjoy seeing familiar faces.
