Sri Ragavendira English Primary School

Sri Ragavendira English Primary School is situated at No 1 in Victoriya Nagar, First Cross, in the Ariyankuppam area of Pondicherry. This is a residential part of town, so the school fits in quietly among the houses and other local buildings. We focus on primary education and we use English as the main language for the subjects we teach. The building is simple, with a few floors and several classrooms for the different grades. Pondicherry has its own pace, and things here in Ariyankuppam are fairly relaxed. We have a small group of teachers who handle the daily lessons in math, science, and languages. The kids come from the nearby streets, usually arriving by foot or on their parents' cycles. We have a small area at the entrance where we keep some plants, and that’s where the kids line up in the mornings. Inside, the rooms have basic fans and wooden furniture. It’s not a fancy private academy with a pool or anything like that, just a regular place where local children come to learn their basics. We try to keep things organized, but with small kids, there is always a bit of chaos and noise during the lunch hour. Most of our students stay with us from nursery all the way until they finish their primary years. It’s a steady place where we just focus on the schoolwork and the daily schedule.
