Sigma Physics Centre

Our center is located at 11B/9 on Tashkand Marg in the Civil Lines area. It’s right opposite Patrika House. Civil Lines is an old part of Allahabad, and it has its own charm. Sigma Physics Centre isn't a massive coaching institute with hundreds of staff. It’s more of a focused place for students who want to get their physics right. The rooms are filled with whiteboards and some old wooden benches. It smells a bit like chalk and old books. We spend most of our time solving problems on the board. The traffic on Tashkand Marg can be a bit loud, but inside we try to keep it quiet so everyone can think. It’s a straightforward place. We don’t have air conditioning in every room, just fans that hum all day. We have been here for a good number of years. Many students from the nearby schools come here after their regular classes. We keep some old test papers in the cupboards for anyone to use. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs to get to us. We don't have a receptionist, so you usually just walk in and find someone in the main room. We aren't trying to be the biggest center in town, just a place where students can sit and work on their physics. It’s a practical environment for anyone who is serious about the subject. We just do our work day by day.
