The Palm Academy

Our academy is based in Allahabad, in the Kareli area. Specifically, we are at 156 B /34C I A, near Karamat Ki Chauki. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of narrow streets and people moving around. The building itself is fairly easy to spot once you get to the right section of the neighborhood. We have a few rooms dedicated to different subjects and age groups. It isn't a massive campus, but we use the space we have very carefully. The walls are a simple color and we have basic furniture for the students to sit on. I usually arrive early to sweep the front step and make sure the drinking water is refilled. We have a small area where students can leave their bags and shoes. The noise from the street can be heard inside, but we’ve all gotten used to it over time. We don't have any polished reception area or fancy uniforms. It’s just us teachers and the students who come here to study. Most of them live within walking distance, so they come and go throughout the afternoon. We spend a lot of time just talking to parents at the door about how their kids are doing. It’s a very informal atmosphere, but we take the teaching part seriously. We just do our work and go home, much like everyone else in the Kareli district. It’s been our daily routine for quite a while now.
