Sailputri Agro Producer Company Limited

Our place is at 336 Devbiri on the Belthra Road. It’s a busy road with a lot of trucks and tractors going by all day long. Sailputri Agro Producer Company Limited was set up because we felt like the small farmers in this part of the world were being forgotten. We don’t have a big staff. It’s just a few of us trying to coordinate things so that everyone gets a fair shake. The office is pretty basic, just some chairs and a desk where we keep the ledgers. We spend a lot of time out on the road, visiting different plots and seeing how the crops are coming along. It’s a lot of dust and heat, but that’s part of the job. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. We just want to be reliable. If a farmer needs help with their soil or isn't sure which crop to plant next, we talk it out over some tea. It’s more like a community than a business sometimes. We have our fair share of arguments about the best way to do things, but in the end, we all want the same thing. We want the farms to stay healthy and the local families to stay fed. We don't use any marketing tricks or fancy talk. We just tell it like it is and hope for the best for everyone involved in the work. It is a long day but the results are worth it.
