Vidyanikethan High School

Vidyanikethan High School is located out in Prakasam. We have a decent-sized building where the kids spend most of their day. It’s a typical local high school. We don't have any of those expensive gadgets you see in city schools. Instead, we have dedicated teachers and a lot of books. The playground is a bit uneven, but that doesn't stop the students from playing cricket every chance they get. I spend my time dealing with the daily grind of running a school. There’s always a tap that needs fixing or a parent who wants to discuss their child’s grades. The halls can get quite dusty, especially when the wind picks up across the plains of Prakasam. We try to keep the place looking decent with a few potted plants near the entrance. The morning assembly is usually the loudest part of the day, with everyone singing and the principal giving announcements. We’ve been here for a long time, and many of the parents were students here themselves once. It’s that kind of place. We don't make big promises or use fancy words. We just open the gates every morning and do our best to teach the kids what they need to know. It’s a simple operation, really. Life moves at its own pace here, and we’re just happy to be a part of it. The bell rings at four and we do it all again tomorrow.
