Saibaba Central School

Our school is located right here in Ongole. It’s a place that’s been around for the local community for a long time. We don’t have a complicated address or a fancy office building; we’re just a solid part of the town. The weather here can be really tough during the summer, so we spend a lot of time making sure the fans are working and the kids stay hydrated. We’re not into big, polished presentations about what we do. We just open the doors at the same time every morning and start the day. The building has a lot of character, which is a polite way of saying it’s old, but it works for us. We have classrooms filled with wooden benches and blackboards that have seen thousands of lessons. There’s always someone sweeping the floors or fixing a window latch. We don’t have a massive budget for advertising, so we rely on the families who have been sending their kids to us for generations. It’s a bit noisy when the classes let out, and the street gets filled with bicycles and rickshaws. We stand by the gate to make sure everyone leaves safely. It’s a regular life, without any extra frills. We focus on the students and making sure they learn what they need to. It’s a simple, straightforward school for the people of Ongole, and we’re proud to keep it going every year.
