Sri Bhavani Grammar High School

This part of Andhra Pradesh can get very warm, and you can feel it in the school buildings during the peak of summer. We are a grammar high school, which means we focus on the basic education of the local children from this town. The school is not very large, just a few blocks of classrooms and a small administrative office where we keep the records. We have a small playground out front, but it is mostly just dirt and some patches of grass. The kids do not seem to mind though. The teachers we have are local people who have been with us for a long time. We do not use any complicated systems; we just follow the state board and teach what is required. The benches in the classrooms are a bit old, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they hold up fine. Every morning, you can hear the kids reciting their lessons from the street. It is a familiar sound for everyone living nearby. We are not trying to be the biggest or the most modern school in the district. We are just here to provide a place for the kids in Yerragondapalem to go and learn every day. It is a very humble and simple setup we have here for the community.
