Ravindra Bharathi High School

We are located in Ongole, and that’s where we’ve stayed for years. There isn’t much to say about our location other than it’s home for us. The school is a place of routine. Every morning, the same routine starts up again. Teachers arrive, bags are put under desks, and the chalkboard gets wiped clean for the day. It’s a lot of chalk dust and the sound of pages turning. We don’t have a big shiny campus with fountains. It’s more of a practical setup with rooms that get used all day long. In the afternoons, the sun hits the windows on one side of the building, and it gets pretty warm. We try to keep the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes through Ongole. You can usually find a few of us sitting in the shade during the break, just catching our breath. The kids bring their lunches in those stainless steel boxes, and the smell of home cooking fills the hallways around noon. It’s a simple atmosphere. We deal with broken pencils and lost erasers every single day. That’s just part of the job. We aren’t trying to be anything other than a local school for the families around here. Most of the people working here have lived in this town their whole lives. We know the shops nearby and the people walking past our gates. It’s just our daily life at Ravindra Bharathi.
