Ghummo Andaman

Ghummo Andaman is located at Shop No 3 in the Arun Market Building. You can find us in the Dairy Farm area of Port Blair. We are right across the road from the Govinda Hotel, which is a good landmark if you are coming from the main road. The market is always a bit crowded, especially during the morning hours when people are out getting their supplies. We have been in this shop for some time. It is a small space but it works for what we need to do. There is always someone sitting here at the desk, usually dealing with phone calls or sorting through papers. The noise from the street comes in quite a bit, so we have to speak up sometimes. The walls are a bit plain, but we haven't really had the time to put much up. We get a mix of people walking in, mostly locals from the neighborhood. It can get quite warm in the afternoon when the sun hits the front of the building, so we keep the fan running all day. Living and working in Port Blair means dealing with the humidity, and our shop is no different. We just show up every day, open the shutters, and get to work. It is a very normal place with a very normal routine. We share the building with a few other small shops, so there is always some neighborly talk going on.
