Sana Tours And Travels is located over in Bambooflat, which is in the south part of Port Blair. To get here you usually have to take the ferry across, which is how we commute most days. It’s a bit different than being right in the main city market, but we like it here. We do a lot of transport work, getting people to where they need to go around the islands. Some days it's just driving, other days it's helping someone figure out their boat tickets. We’ve seen a lot of changes in Port Blair over the years, more cars and more people visiting. Our office in Bambooflat is pretty simple, just a place to keep the paperwork and take calls. We have a few drivers who know every shortcut there is. Sometimes the rain here is so heavy you can't see the road, so everything stops for a bit. That's life in the South Andaman area. We don't do much fancy advertising or anything like that. Most people find us by asking around or through friends. We just try to keep the vehicles clean and show up when we say we will. It’s a lot of coordination, especially when the ferries are running late. We've lived here our whole lives, so we know the rhythms of the port and the water. It’s just us doing our daily work. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done.
