Our office for Guru Tour & Travels is really close to the airport here in Port Blair. Being in Lamba Line, Junglighat, we see the planes coming in and taking off all day long. It makes sense for us to be here because this is where people first land when they come to the islands. We’ve been at this spot for a good bit of time. It is a small place, nothing too fancy, just some desks and a couple of chairs for when people stop by to ask questions. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at the jetty. Dealing with travel means things change fast, so we just try to keep up with the schedules. Sometimes the internet is slow or the weather makes things difficult, but that is just life in Port Blair. We do not have a big marketing team. It’s just us here at Guru Tour & Travels making sure cars are ready and people know where they are going. We know the roads around Lamba Line and Junglighat like the back of our hands. If you are coming from the airport, we’re just a short walk or drive away. We keep it simple. No big promises, just trying to get things organized so people can see the sights. We usually have the fan going and some cold water ready for anyone who walks in out of the heat. It is a decent way to earn a living.
