Flyandaman

Havelock is a funny place sometimes. Being here at C/10 Govindnagar means we see a lot of people coming and going. The air is always salty and it makes the hinges on the door squeak no matter how much oil we put on them. Flyandaman is just a small office really. We spend most of our mornings just wiping the dust off the desks because the wind blows everything in from the road. Most days start with a cup of tea from the stall nearby and then we get to work checking the schedules. It gets hot in the afternoons so we usually keep the fan on high. People come in looking for help with their trips or just to ask where the best beach is. We don't have fancy furniture or anything like that. It’s just a few chairs and a computer that takes a while to start up in the morning. Sometimes the internet goes out when it rains hard and we just sit and talk to whoever is around. It’s a simple way of living here in the Andamans. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and everyone knows us by now. The neighbors always pop their heads in to say hello. It’s not a big corporate setup. It’s just us trying to keep things moving and making sure we get through the day’s tasks before it gets dark. Honestly, it's just a regular local spot where we do our bit and go home.
