We are based in Port Blair, but our work takes us all over, specifically up toward Bakultala and into the North and Middle Andaman areas. Those parts of the islands are much quieter than the main town. Our office is a simple place where we manage the transport and stays for people who want to see more than just the usual spots. We spend a lot of time thinking about the Great Andaman Trunk Road because that’s the main way to get up north. It’s a long drive and requires a lot of planning with the convoys and the ferry crossings at places like Middle Strait. We aren't a big company with a huge staff. It’s just a few of us who know the routes well. Most of our day is spent making sure the vehicles are in good shape for the long distances and that the guesthouses are ready for arrivals. It’s a different kind of travel work than just booking a hotel in the city. We have to be more aware of the road conditions and the timing of the buses. We don't have any polished marketing materials. We just rely on what we know from years of driving these roads and talking to the people who live in the smaller villages. It’s a practical, local operation. We stay in Bakultala and keep things running smoothly for anyone heading toward the northern parts of the archipelago.
