Bappa Travels

Bappa Travels is out here in Vijay Nagar, which is part of Havelock Island. If you know the area, we are near Havelock 5. Being on an island like this is different from the main Port Blair town. Things move a bit slower, and we like it that way. We mostly help people get around the island, maybe find a scooter or a car to get to the beaches. It’s a small place, so everybody knows everybody. Our office is pretty casual. You might find us sitting outside talking to the drivers or helping a visitor figure out the ferry schedule back to the mainland. We don't have any fancy websites or big advertisements. Most people just find us because they are staying nearby in Vijay Nagar. We’ve lived here a long time, so we know the best times to go to the popular spots before they get too crowded. The salt air and the heat are just part of the job. Sometimes the phone signals are weak, but we manage to stay in touch with our drivers. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. We just want to do a good job so people can enjoy their time on Havelock. It’s a lot of coordination, especially during the tourist season when everyone wants to go to the same place at once, but we take it one day at a time and keep things simple for everyone involved.
