Tree House Play Group

Our place is tucked away in the Oriental Insurance Colony in Kankarbagh. It’s actually House No. B 19, so it feels more like a home than a typical school building. Gandhi Nagar is a quiet enough spot compared to the rest of Patna, which is nice for the little ones. We have a small gate in the front and a bit of a garden area where we keep some play equipment. The weather in Patna gets really hot in the summer, so we make sure the fans are always running inside. Most of the families who bring their kids here live in the same colony or just a few blocks over. You’ll often see parents walking their kids over in the morning. Inside, we have different rooms set up with mats and boxes of blocks. It’s not a huge space, but it works for what we do. The walls are covered in drawings that the kids have made over the weeks. We don’t really have a big office; we just use one of the tables near the entrance to keep our papers. Every afternoon, the colony gets quiet for a few hours before the older kids come home from their schools. We spend that time tidying up and getting things ready for the next morning. It’s a very local feel here, and we know most of the neighbors by name.
