Finger Print Play School

Our play school is in an interesting spot, located by the Chankaya Girls Hostel on B M Das Road in Patna. It’s right in the Machuatoli area, which is always full of activity. We have a space where the little kids come to spend their mornings while their parents are at work. The address is 800004, and if you know Patna, you know this part of town is pretty crowded. We have decorated the rooms with bright colors and drawings, but it’s all done by hand and looks a bit lived-in. There are always toys scattered on the floor and the sound of children laughing or sometimes crying. We don't try to sound like a big fancy school. We are just a local place where kids can be kids. The teachers are local ladies who are good at keeping the peace when things get a bit wild. We spend a lot of time cleaning up fingerprints from the walls, which I guess is why the name fits so well. B M Das Road can be quite a struggle with the traffic, but once you are inside the gate, it feels a bit more relaxed. We have our small routine with snacks and songs. It’s not a polished corporate environment; it’s more like a big family gathering most days. We just take things one day at a time here in Machuatoli and try to make sure every child goes home happy at the end of the day.
