Ikon Junior Pre School

We are located inside the Ikon Public School building on 70 Feet Road in Anisabad. Being in Patna, it is a very busy area with lots of traffic and people moving around all day long. Our section is specifically for the younger children who are just starting out. We have our own corner of the compound to keep things safe. The rooms are painted in some bright colors to make it look a bit more cheerful for the little ones. We have a lot of toys, blocks, and coloring books kept in low shelves where they can reach them. The teachers here are used to a lot of shouting and running around throughout the morning. It is just part of the job when you work with this age group. We have a small outdoor area with a slide and some swings. It is not a huge playground, but it is enough for them to play during their mid-morning break. In the mornings, the road outside gets really packed with cars and rickshaws, so we have to be very careful when parents are dropping the kids off. Inside, we follow a simple routine of singing, drawing, and learning the alphabet. We do not use any complicated teaching methods here. It is mostly about getting the children comfortable with being away from their homes for a few hours. We spend a lot of time talking to parents at the gate.
