St Vinoba High School

You can find us in Ward 8 of West Patel Nagar, which is near Sastri Nagar and Keshari Nagar here in Patna. It is a bit of a crowded neighborhood with lots of narrow lanes, so first-time visitors sometimes get a little lost trying to find the school gate. We have been operating here for years, serving the families who live in this part of the city. The school building has a few floors and we use every bit of space we have for the classrooms. We don't have a huge playground, just a small open area where the kids gather for the morning assembly. It gets pretty loud when the children are all out there at once. The teachers use regular chalk and talk methods, and we have a small staff room where we sit during our free periods. In the rainy season, the streets around here sometimes get a bit muddy, but the kids still make it to class. We follow the standard board exams and keep a close eye on the results. It is an honest kind of place where we just try to do our jobs. We don't have any fancy websites or glossy magazines to show off. Most of our information gets passed around through the parents talking at the local markets. We just keep the gates open and follow the daily schedule as best as we can without making a fuss.
