Our office is in the Parijat Complex on Fraser Road, which is one of the busiest parts of Patna. We are at number 201, and the space is linked to Chinta Devi and the late Ram Baran Sahu’s family. Being on Fraser Road means we are always in the thick of things. You can hear the horns honking from the street even when the windows are shut. Shreshthnirman Enterprises is where we handle various business tasks, mostly related to building and development. It’s a practical space. We have some chairs for visitors and a few computers that have seen better days. We don't go for the corporate look. The walls have some calendars and maybe a few photos from old projects. Most of our day is spent on the phone or meeting with people who walk in from the complex. It’s a lot of talking and figuring out budgets. We are locals, so we know how the system works here and how to get things moving through the local channels. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall. We just want to do the work we promised and get home to our families. It’s a regular business run by regular people who know the value of a day’s work in Bihar. We take each job as it comes and try to be fair.
