Sangam Hair Cutting Saloon

Our little place is on Bangali Road in the Mithapur area of Patna. We are quite close to the Royal Children Academy, so we see a lot of students coming in for their school haircuts. Patna is a busy place and this neighborhood is no exception to the noise. The shop is small and the walls are covered with some old posters and a calendar. I have been cutting hair for a long time now and I have seen many people grow up. We do not have a lot of space inside, so people often wait outside on the steps or lean against the wall. It is a friendly atmosphere where people talk about their families and their daily work. We use simple tools and a lot of spray water to get the hair right. The fan on the ceiling makes a clicking noise that we have gotten used to over the months. Sometimes the younger kids are a bit fussy, but we manage to get the job done. We try to keep things organized but it is hard when there is a rush. The light inside isn't the brightest but we know our way around a pair of scissors. We do not have a big sign, just the name written above the door. Sangam Hair Cutting Saloon has been a part of this street for a long time.
