Naya Tola is a place where everyone seems to be in a hurry, but we try to keep a steady pace here at the Kothi. It is an old building with a lot of character, and sometimes the walls need a bit of paint, but it’s where I do my business. I didn't start this with a big plan or any investors. I just had a bit of space and some skills I could use. Most of my customers come from the local streets around here. They know I am usually at my desk from morning until late. I don't have a big staff. It's mostly me and sometimes a relative who helps out with the errands. Patna can be a tough place to run a business because of the heat and the crowds, but you get used to it. I keep my ledger updated by hand mostly because I trust my own writing more than the computer sometimes. It’s a simple way of living. I don't spend money on ads or flyers. People just know where I am and what I do. That’s how we have always done things in Naya Tola and it works.
