Rag Amrit Construction is located on Road No-6/D in Gardanibagh. Randhir Kumar Singh and Mahanand Singh are the ones usually keeping things running around here. It is a local operation through and through. Our office is just a regular building in the neighborhood where we keep our files and meet up for tea to discuss the day’s tasks. Construction in a place like Patna is never easy because of the narrow streets and the constant buzz of activity, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We spend a lot of our time walking through sites, checking the masonry, and making sure the supplies didn't get diverted elsewhere. It is a hands-on kind of business. We don't have a corporate strategy or a five-year plan; we just look at what needs to be built this month and we get to it. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to finish our paperwork by candlelight, or the delivery truck breaks down three streets away. These are just the normal things that happen every week. We know the people in Gardanibagh and they know us. We are not interested in flashy advertisements or looking more important than we are. We are just guys who know how to manage a construction crew and get a roof over someone's head. It is a decent way to make a living and keep the community growing. We keep it simple and focus on the work.
