P Place Salon

P Place Salon is situated near Gol Ghar in Patna, right by P M C Hospital. It’s a very busy part of the city. You can always hear the sirens from the hospital and the sound of people rushing around. Because of where we are, we get all sorts of people coming in. Some work at the hospital and come in during their breaks, while others are just visiting the area. The shop itself is nothing too special to look at. We have the standard chairs and a small area for people to sit while they wait. In Patna, the summers can be really tough, so we make sure the fans are always spinning fast. It gets crowded in here sometimes, especially in the evenings. We don't have a big team, just a few of us working. We don't use any high-end products or do anything trendy. It’s mostly just cuts and shaves for the local men. We’ve been in this spot for a while, so we know the chai wallah next door and the other shopkeepers. We spend our days mostly standing on our feet, cutting hair and talking about whatever is in the newspaper that day. It’s a tiring job but it’s good to be part of the hustle and bustle near Gol Ghar. We just focus on getting the job done so people can get back to their day.
