Nazareth Academy

Nazareth Academy is right there in Block Cc 16 in Kankarbagh, Patna. It’s on that road that connects Kankarbagh Road and Rajendra Nagar Road, so it’s a pretty well-known spot for people living around here. The school building has been around for a bit, and you can see it in the way the paint looks or how the stairs have worn down. Every morning is a bit of a scramble with the rickshaws and vans dropping kids off at the gate. We’ve got a small front area where students gather before the bell rings, and the noise level is exactly what you’d expect from a school in the middle of a city. Inside, the hallways are narrow and the classrooms are filled with old wooden desks that have probably been there since the start. Our staff room is always a bit cluttered with notebooks and half-finished cups of tea. It’s a practical place, not something out of a magazine. We deal with the usual stuff like leaky taps or fans that squeak when they’re on high speed. During the summer, Patna gets incredibly hot, so everyone is just trying to stay cool and get through the lessons. We know the neighbors, and they know us, even if they complain about the noise sometimes. It’s just a normal school doing its best for the kids in the neighborhood every day.
