Nabarang Hair Cutting Saloon

Nabarang is our little shop on Danapur Main Road. We are right in the middle of the Danapur Bazar area, very close to the State Bank of India. It is a loud and busy part of Patna, which we actually quite like. There is always a lot of energy and people moving around outside. Inside the shop, things are usually a bit more relaxed. We have been cutting hair here for many years. My father used to do this work, and now I do it too. We don't have any of that modern decor you see in the new malls. It is just a traditional barber shop with mirrors on the walls and the smell of shaving cream in the air. People from the bank often pop in for a quick shave during their lunch break. We know most of the other shopkeepers on this road. It is a tight community here in the bazar. The tools we use are a bit old-fashioned but they work perfectly fine for us. We don't really do appointments; you just show up and wait your turn on the wooden bench. It gives everyone a chance to catch up on the local gossip. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, but we just keep working with the light coming in from the door. It is a simple business. We provide a service that people need, and we try to do it as honestly as we can.
