N K Hair Cutting Saloon

N K Hair Cutting Saloon is located in the Nayatola area of Patna, specifically on Baripath Road. This part of Bihar is always humming with energy. The shop is tucked into a row of other small businesses. It’s a narrow space, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. There are a few chairs for the customers and a long mirror that runs down one side of the wall. Nayatola is full of students and workers, so we see a lot of young guys coming in between their classes or jobs. The street outside is usually packed with rickshaws and motorbikes, so there’s a constant background of engines and bells. Inside, it’s a bit more relaxed, though it can get quite warm during the summer months. I keep a few plastic stools for people to sit on while they wait their turn. The lighting isn’t very bright, mostly just what comes from the overhead tube light. We don’t have any fancy products or big advertisements. It’s just me and the tools of the trade. I’ve lived in Patna my whole life, and this shop feels like home. You get to know everyone’s stories after a while. It’s a good way to spend the day, even if my back hurts a bit by the time I close up at night.
