Our business is based in Birla Colony in Khagaul. Navjeevan Kumar is the one who keeps everything running, along with the rest of the family and a few helpers. Birla Colony is a well-known spot around this part of town. We’ve been in this house and office for quite a while now. Modern Basundhra Infratech is really just a bunch of us working on various construction and land projects. We don't have a big, separate office building with a lobby. We work from a space that feels more like a regular home than a business office. There’s usually someone coming in or out with papers, maps, or lunch. It’s a very relaxed and informal environment. We don't wear suits or anything like that. Usually, it’s just simple shirts and trousers, because we need to be ready to go out to a dusty site at a moment's notice. Khagaul is a good place to be because it’s connected well to the rest of the city. We have our daily routines, like starting every morning with a long chat about what needs to be done. Sometimes we get a bit distracted by the neighbors stopping by or the local news. The office has some old computers and stacks of files that always seem to need more sorting. It’s a bit messy but we know exactly where everything is kept. We take a lot of pride in the fact that we are a local outfit. People know us here.
