We are based out of House No 133 in Ward No 6. Balua Bazar is where everything happens for us. It’s a quiet place in Supaul mostly, but we stay busy with construction work. The office is really just a room where we keep the tools and some ledgers. You can find us near Balua most mornings before the sun gets too hot. Dealing with construction in Bihar means you have to be ready for anything. The roads aren't always great for the heavy trucks. We spend a lot of time figuring out how to get materials to the sites in Chatapur. It’s hard work, but the crew is used to it. My neighbor’s son started working with us last year. He’s learning how to manage the sites. We don’t use big words or have fancy brochures. If someone needs a wall built or a house started, they just come find us at the house. We sit down, have some tea, and talk about the cost. Sometimes we disagree on how long a job will take. That's normal. Life in Balua moves at its own pace. We follow that. The monsoon season is our slowest time because the rain makes the ground too soft. We use that time to fix the equipment. It is just a small local operation trying to stay steady. Nothing more, nothing less. We know most people in the ward by name. It makes the work feel a bit more personal when you know who will live in the building.
