Maurya Gents Parlour

Maurya Gents Parlour has been here on Bhikna Pahari Road for a while now. Most people know us because we’re right near Devi Durga Mandir, which makes it easy to find. It’s a simple spot where guys come in to get their hair sorted out or just a quick shave before work. We don’t have fancy chairs or anything too modern, but the fans work and the mirrors are clean. Our chairs see a lot of regulars from around Bhikhana Pahari. Some days it gets quite busy, especially in the mornings when everyone wants to look sharp. We usually just talk about local stuff while working. It’s not a complicated place. You just walk in, wait your turn if there’s a queue, and get what you need. My tools are kept sharp and I try to keep the floor swept between customers. Patna can be dusty, so keeping the shop tidy is a constant job. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. If you are walking down the main road near the temple, you’ll see our sign. It is just a straightforward shop for men who want a haircut without any fuss or waiting in long lines for no reason. Most of the time, the same faces come back every month. We know how they like their hair done, so we don't have to ask much. It's just a regular part of the day for us here. The door is usually propped open to let some air in.
