Goodwill Hair Cutting Salon

If you go down to Subjee Mandi on Road No.10 in Rajendranagar, you’ll find Goodwill Hair Cutting Salon. We are near the Rajendra Nagar Gumti. It’s a small spot, right in the middle of all the market noise. People buying vegetables often stop in for a shave. We have been in this corner for quite a while. The chairs are old, and the spray bottle leaks a little bit, but the scissors are sharp. We do basic haircuts. Nothing fancy like what you see on TV. Mostly just short back and sides. It’s a place where men from the neighborhood come to sit and relax for twenty minutes. We have a small radio that plays the news or old songs. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. You might have to wait a bit if it’s a Saturday morning. There’s a wooden bench outside for that. The street is always busy with cycles and carts going past. We don't have a big sign, just the name painted on the shutter. It's a simple life running a shop here in Patna. We know most people by name. They don't even have to tell us how they want their hair cut anymore. We just know. It’s just how a local barber shop should be, I think. We don't have a phone for appointments. People just turn up when they have time.
