Fmgs Centre

Our centre is located behind the Om Shankar Market in the Mehendru area of Patna. To find us, you have to go a bit deep into the lanes of Mussallehpur Hat Nanmuhia. It’s situated just east of the main Musallahpur area. The location is quite busy because of the market, so there is always the smell of street food and the sound of horns nearby. The building we are in is tucked away, making it a bit quieter than the main road, which is nice for the students. We have several rooms where we hold the sessions. The furniture is pretty basic—mostly just long tables and stools. We don't really have a big staff, so we end up doing most of the cleaning and organizing ourselves. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just part of living in Patna. We keep some extra bulbs and fans around just in case. The space feels very lived-in. There are old posters on the walls and heaps of notebooks in the corners. Students usually hang out in the alleyway outside during their breaks, talking and having tea. It’s a very local, unpretentious spot. We don't try to make it look like something it isn't. It’s just a place where we get together to work through the lessons and get things done day by day.
